In collaboration with the Teachers' Union, the Ministry of Health is consulting in Adama on the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign.

According to Temesgen Lema, a vaccination expert with the Ministry of Health, more than 12 million doses are expected to be vaccinated, especially at schools and universities, in areas with no security problem.

During the vaccination campaign, it was stated that anyone over the age of 18 and teachers in public and private schools will be vaccinated.

Dr. Daniel Gebremichael, Senior Adviser to the Minister of Health, said the new website will provide a comprehensive and organized information and is attractive and user friendly to respective users and stakeholders.

The Health Sector Development Consultative Conference being held in Jijiga, Somali Region starting from October 19-21, 2014 began with a review of health service delivery experiences in various parts of the region.

The delegation led by State Minister of Health, Dr. Dereje Duguma and Deputy Head of the Somali Regional State Health Bureau, Hawa Suleiman, paid a field visit to Melkada Kas Kebele, Goljano Woreda, 55 km from Jijiga.
